Joyce says “Time to use new powers for benefit of Mid and West Wales”

Speaking after the Yes result in the Assembly powers referendum, Local Assembly Member JOYCE WATSON said:
“This is a proud day, as people right across Mid and West Wales have come together to say a clear Yes for Wales.
“All eight constituencies voted Yes – now we politicians must repay that trust by using these powers wisely to serve all the people of Wales, and take Wales forward together.
“It is right that we now have the same powers in devolved responsibilities such as health, education, transport or housing, as Northern Ireland and Scotland. As we see the impact of Westminster’s cuts agenda, this will become increasingly important.
“Labour members have been out and about across Mid and West Wales engaging with the public and getting a fantastic result on the doorstep.
“Now we must deliver for Wales.”
