Decade of action needed to tackle climate crisis

I joined the calls, alongside the First Minister and Climate Change Minister, for a ‘decade of action’ to tackle the climate change crisis as the Welsh Government published Net Zero Wales – the next phase in the journey towards a greener, stronger, and fairer Wales.

The plan focuses on the second carbon budget (2021 – 2025) but it also looks beyond towards net zero by 2050 so that, by then, the amount of greenhouse gases Wales adds to the atmosphere would no longer be more than it takes out.

Remembrance Week – Joyce highlights veterans’ mental health support but slams UK defence budget cuts

Wales’ special commitment and contribution to the armed forces must be honoured and protected, Labour’s Joyce Watson has said.

At Senedd question time on Tuesday, the Mid and West Wales MS, who grew up in a military family based at Tywyn and Manorbier, championed the Veterans’ NHS Wales service and criticised the UK Government’s latest round of military spending cuts.Read more
